Arsenal are one of the clubs keeping track on the situation of former Manchester City star Leroy Sané.
The German international is currently with Bayewrn Munich, but has now entered the final year of his current deal with them.
Whilst the Bundesliga club want to retain his services, they have offered him reduced terms ot hat he currently owes, something he is not willing to accept.
And that has opened the door for the Gunners, as well as Newcastle, who have now been alerted in case Sané becomes a free agent next summer.
Mikel Arteta already knows the player well having both been at City together.
Signed from Schalke when he was a teenager Sané made 135 club appearances at the Etihad, scoring 39 goals. He won two Premier League titles, an FA Cup, and three League Cups during his time at the Etihad.
He was also named PFA Young Player of the Year for the 2017 – 2018 season.
