Arsenal have turned down a bid from Saudi club Al-Ittihad for Belgian international Leandro Trossard.
Although the transfer window in Europe closed last Friday, Saudi Pro League clubs had until September 2nd to buy and sell players.
However, despite the arrival of Raheem Sterling on loan, the Gunners have no intention of selling Trossard.
Bought from Brighton in January 2023, Trossard has 19 goals and 12 assists in 71 appearances and is regarded as one of the best finishers at the club. He regularly competes for the starting berth on the left-wing with Gabriel Martinelli.
He came off the bench last week to open the scoring against Aston Villa.
He is under contract at the Emirates until 2026, and with the Gunners arguably short of forward options as it is, allowing him to leave at this stage would have sent negative signals about their intent to challenge for the League title and to go deep into the Champions League.
