Chelsea are exploring the possibility of taking Napoli striker Victor Osimhen on loan for next season.
That would include an option to buy at the end of the season.
The future of Osimhen has been up ion the air all summer, and he has been training separately from the rest of the Serie A team in pre-season.
He has a release clause of ₤110 million, which Chelsea have previously indicated that they are not willing to pay, and no other bidders have come forward at that price so far,
Osimhen’s future could be inextricably linked with that of Romelu Lukaku, who is still a Chelsea player, despite having spent the past two seasons on loan at Inter Milan and Roma.
He is reported to have agreed personal terms with Napoli, but, so far, the two sides have not been able to agree a fee.
However, if Osimhen were included as part of the deal, common ground could be found.
