West Ham are in talks with Arsenal about signing winger Reiss Nelson.
Although Nelson is a product of the Arsenal youth academy, and was once tipped to go all the way ot the top, he has failed to ever establish himself at the Emirates.
Although he has played 89 times for them in all competitions, scoring eight goals and providing nine assists, many of those appearances have been off the bench.
Although he was persuaded to sign a new deal last summer, and is under contract until 2027, there is a growing acceptance that, if he wants regular first-team football, then he needs to move elsewhere.
Brighton are also reported to be interested in a player who is valued at ₤25 million by Mikel Arteta’s side, although they may have to settle for less than that as they attempt to reshape their squad ahead of next season.
