A clutch of Serie A sides are interested in signing Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren in the summer.

That is according to The Daily Mirror who report that AC Milan, Roma and Napoli are also monitoring the situation of the 29-year old at Liverpool.

Lovren has lost his first-team place at Anfield this season, with Joe Gomez, when fit, and Joel Matip, all preferred to start in central defence as partners to Virgil van Dyck ahead of him.  The Croat is under contract at Liverpool until 2021, and the club have an option to further extend his stay by a year but, if he cannot regain his first-team place, Lovren may be tempted by a move to Serie A.

A £20 million summer signing from Southampton in the summer of 2013, Lovren has gone on to make 166 appearances for Liverpool in all competitions.

He was also a member of the Croatia team that lost the World Cup Final to France last July.
