West Ham captain Mark Noble has sign a contract extension with the club that will keep him in East London until 2021.
The 31-year old is currently the longest-serving player with The Hammers, having made 446 senior appearances since his debut in August 2004 in a League Cup tie against Southend United as a 17-year old. Now, he has extended his current contract by a year, and looks set to end his career at the club he joined as a teenager when the travel involved in getting to Arsenal, the side he originally joined, became too much.
A life-long West Ham fan, who was born locally in Canning Town, Noble has also indicated a long-term ambition to move into coaching once he hangs up his boots.
Mr. “West Ham” told the club’s website ““I’ve been at this club all my life – I’ve always said I wanted to be at this club and I think we’re moving in the right direction, so it was the right time to do it.”
