West Ham ready to renew interest in Argentine playmaker

West Ham have renewed their interest in signing Argentine player maker Fránco Vázquez, who currently plays for La Liga side Sevilla.

That is according to Tuttomarcoweb, who report that the Hammers, having made an unsuccessful approach for the player in the summer, are ready to step up their interest in the 29-year old again once the transfer window opens again in January.

Vazquez began his career in his native Argentina with Belgrano before securing a move to Europe and Serie A with Palermo. After a four year stay in Italy, which included a brief loan spell with Rayo Vallecano, he moved to Sevilla for a reported fee of around £13.2 million (€15 million) in July 2016. He has since gone on to make 89 appearances for them, scoring 15 times.

He earned his first cap for Argentina, coming on as a substitute in their friendly win over Guatemala last month.
