West Ham regret £18 million summer signing

West Ham have had a disastrous start to the season.

Despite spending more than £100 million in the transfer market, they find themselves firmly rooted to the foot of the Premier League, and are pointless after 4 games. New manager Manuel Pellegrini already finds himself under immense pressure, and, despite the club’s assurances that he will be given time to get things right, observers will remember a similar start by London neighbours Crystal Palace last season cost Dutch manager Frank de Boer his job.

Now it appears they are having buyer’s regret over the €20 million (£18 million) that they paid Borussia Dortmund Andriy Yarmolenko, with reports in his native Ukraine labelling his early career in East London a fiasco, and that West Ham are sorry for having spent so much money on a player who has yet to start a Premier League game for them.
