Rangers complete signing of Croatian defender

Rangers have completed the signing of Croatian defender Borna Barišić after the 25-year old left-back impressed against Steven Gerrard’s men in the Europa League whilst playing for Osijek.

The Glasgow side progressed through to the third Europa League qualifying round, but only after a hard-fought battle against the Croats, winning by a single goal away from home, and then drawing at Ibrox, where Barišić scored for his side.

Now, according to The BBC, the Croat has become Rangers’ 11th signing of the summer, after agreeing a four-year deal with the club, with a move that will see him play outside his native country for the first time, having previously featured for Dinamo Zagreb and Lokomotiva  previously.

Barišić has 3 international caps for Croatia and was named in the World Cup runners-up preliminary squad for Russia, although he did not make it onto the plane to Moscow in the end.
