Arsenal are keen on adding another Spanish midfielder to their collection which already includes Martin Zubímendi and Mikel Merino.
Rodrigo Mendoza, who currently plays for La Liga side Eleche, is a product of their youth system, and at 20 years of age, has already appeared for Spain in various age group categories, including inde-21 level.
He made his debut the club whilst they were in the Segunda Division, and, since they have regained their top flight status, he has been a consistent performer for them. He also has the versatility that will appeal to Mikel Arteta, able to operate as a deep-lying midfielder or in more advanced areas.
Whilst he has attracted interest from several Italian clubs, Arsenal may be able to offer a much higher salary with a move to the Premier League in 2026.
He would come relatively cheaply as well, with his current valuation around the £7m mark.
