Atlético Madrid are keeping tabs on Chelsea left-back, Marc Cucurella although they will not make any move for him until next summer.
They believe that he could be a key part of a defensive rebuild, and that his Premier League experience and his ability to support attacks could make him a key asset.
The 27-year old, who joined Chelsea from Brighton in 2022, is under contract at Stamford Bridge until 2028, which puts them in a strong negotiating position. Part of the squad that won both the Europa Conference League and the Club World Cup this summer, Cucurella is also first choice for his country, Spain, and will be hoping to be part of their squad for the World Cup next year. He won the Euros with them in 2024.
However, Atlético believe that a bid of around ₤35 million might be sufficient to tempt Chelsea to part with one of the best left-backs in the world.
