Chelsea are one of a host of clubs, which also include Inter Miami and Sevilla, who are interested 9n signing Argentine midfielder Milton Delgado, who currently plays for Boca Juniors.
The West London club already have a relationship with Boca, having signed Aarón Anselmino from them in August 2024, although he is currently on loan with Borussia Dortmund, and they are keen to unite the pair.
Inter Miami already have nine Argentines in their squad – with Lionel Messi topping that list – and they want Delgado for form a midfield partnership with Rodrigo de Paul.
However, once the January transfer window opens, Delgado is expected to be the subject of multi-transfer offers. Although under contract until 2028, he has a release clause of only US $20 million (£15m).
Boca are trying to get him to sign a new deal with a significantly bigger release clause, but Delgado prefers to wait and see what his options are before making any firm decision.
