Chelsea are ready to bid in excess of ₤86 million to sign Spanish striker Samu Omorodion who is currently playing for Porto in Portugal next summer.
Although he has only recently turned 20, Omorodion is already making a name for himself because of his mobility, willingness to play with his back ot goal, and calmness in front of goal.
His form has also attracted the attention of a number of top clubs in Europe, with Real Madrid amongst his admirers.
However, Chelsea are ready to force their way to the head of the queue, although Porto do not want to part with the player, and are likely to demand a high price for him.
His age fits the profile of a Chelsea player currently and he also promises to bring goals to a side that lacks a regular goalscorer. It is also believed that he has the physical attributes to handle the transition to English football.
