The Chelsea pair of Carney Chukwuemeka and Aaron Anselmino are now set to join Borussia Dortmund.
Both players have flown to Germany to complete their moves. In the case of the highly rated youngster Anselmino, it is a straight loan, but it will be a permanent transfer for Chukwuemeka with a fee agreed between the two clubs of around £25 million.
And that would mean that Chelsea have yet again made a profit on a player whom they originally bought from Aston Villa three years ago for a reported sum of £20 million.
The 21-year-old made 23 senior appearances for Chelsea, scoring once, but he already knows Dortmund well. He spent the second half of last season on loan there, making 17 appearances in all competitions for them.
It also means that Enzo Maresca has made further inroads into thinning out his bomb squad of unwanted players.
