Chelsea are being linked with a move for Napoli midfielder Frank Anguissa who will be available as a free agent with his contract at the Serie A title chasing club set to end.
The West London club are reported to have already held one round of talks with the 29-year old Cameroon international in a bid to convince him that Chelsea should be his next destination.
Anguissa already knows this part of the world well. In 2018 he joined Fulham from Marseilles for what was then a club record transfer fee for their neighbours, and he would play 66 matches for them, although part of his time at Craven Cottage was sent on loan at Villareal in Spain.
He left Fulham initially on loan at Napoli, before joining them on a permanent basis ahead of the 2022-23 season. He subsequently won the Scudetto with them that season, and may well leave the Italian club with another league winners’ medal around his neck.
