French midfielder Youssouf Fofana, currently playing for AC Milan in Serie A, is a target for Chelsea in the January window.
The 25 year-old was only signed by Milan from Monaco in the summer for ₤18 million, but Chelsea are prepared to tempt the Italian club with an offer three times what they paid for him originally. And, whilst they do not want to lose him, the possibility of making such a quick profit could tempt them to cash-in on the 25 year old.
Fofana has impressed with his physicality and leadership on the pitch, as well as his defensive ability.
He has also established himself in the French national side, and has now won 25 senior caps, scoring three goals for Les Bleus, although that is not the main strength of his game.
Chelsea are once again expecting to be busy in the January window despite their impressive start ot the season.
