Arsenal could be forced to enter the transfer market in January because of the injuries at the club.
The Gunners have seen their defensive options depleted. Ben White will be missing for several months after knee surgery, Takehiro Tomiyasu has not been seen this season and Jurrien Timber, Oleksander Zinchecko, Riccardo Califiori and Gabriel are all carrying knocks and have missed games recently.
It has meant Thomas Partey playing out of position at right-back and 18 year old Myles Lewis-Skully given his opportunity at left-back in the Champions League against Monaco.
Whilst many fans of the club want them to go and buy a striker, it seems that such an acquisition, if it happens at all, will have to wait until the summer. In the short-term then, it seems defensive positions are the most likely to be strengthened.
