Chelsea want to sign Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher next summer.
The Irish international is set to leave Anfield at the end of the season, with Liverpool having already agreed a deal to sign Giorgi Mamardashvili.
That move will likely make him third choice under Arne Slot, despite the fact that Kelleher has been playing in place of the injured Allison in recent weeks, and has produced a series of fine performances both in the Premier League and Champions League.
Kelleher has already made it clear that he is not interested in sitting on the bench, and he came close to leaving the club in the last transfer window, with Nottingham Forest among the clubs interested in signing him.
Chelsea, despite the fact that they have a number of keepers in their squad, are unconvinced by any of them and will be in the market for a new shot stopper.
Whilst Liverpool do not want to sell him to a major rival, if Chelsea can match the ₤35 million valuation put on him by the Merseyside club, then they have little choice.
