Despite the early season form of Senegalese international Nicolas Jackson, Chelsea are continuing their search for a new central striker.
The latest name to be adding to a growing list that already includes Viktor Gyokeres, Benjamin Sesko, Victor Boniface and Evan Ferguson is Liam Delap of newly promoted Ipswich Town.
And then there is Victor Osimhen, who was heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge in the summer.
Instead he moved to Turkey, joining Galatasaray on loan.
However, the Super Lig club have since made it clear that they do not intend to make the move permanent, whilst it has since emerged that there is provision in the loan agreement for that that to be terminated early should another club come in for him in the January window.
Whatever happens, Napoli are insistent he will be sold next summer.
In the meantime all Jackson can do to persuade Chelsea to think otherwise is to continue scoring goals.
