A number of Italian clubs are monitoring the situation of Arsenal defender Takehito Tomiyasu.

Inter Milan, Juventus and Napoli are among the clubs interested in the Japanese international.

Signed from Bologna in August 2021, Tomiyasu has become a fan favourite at the Emirates, and is also prized by Mikel Arteta because of his versatility.

However, his time in North London has been dogged by injury issues, and he has yet to make an appearance this season as he continues to recover from his latest setback.

Meanwhile, the recruitment of Riccardo Calafiori and the return to full fitness of Jurrien Timber means that Tomiyasu has been pushed down the pecking order.

He was handed a new contract in March of this year which runs until 2026, with an option of a further year on the club side.

That means that Arsenal are under no pressure to sell him, and are likely to demand at least ₤25 million for the player who has made 64 Premier League appearances so far.
