Chelsea are adding to their growing collection of wingers at the club by agreeing to sign Pedro Neto from Wolves for a fee of ₤54 million.
He will become their ninth signing since Enzo Maresca was appointed their head coach, and, with still nearly three weeks of the transfer window to go, he is unlikely to be their last.
24 year old Neto was signed by the Molineux club from Braga in 2019, but has played in just 51 Premier League games since then, due to a series of injuries.
However, he recovered his fitness in time to play in three of Portugal’s matches during the Euros earlier this summer.
He has now been capped ten times at senior level by his country.
At one stage he was on Arsenal’s radar as they looked for a back-up tlo Bukayo Saka, and more recently Tottenham were expressing an interest in a player.
