Chelsea outcast Kepa Arrizabalaga is being linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League and Al-Ittihad.
The 29-year old is back at Stamford Bridge after spending last season on loan at Real Madrid, a spell that began well, but ended up with him relegated to the bench for much of it.
Although he reported for pre-season training, new manager Enzo Maresca has forced him to train with the reserves, and has made it clear that he is not part of his future plans, although he remains under contract until 2025.
Now Al-Ittihad have made what is reported to be a substantial offer and Kepa is considering it.
Chelsea are unlikely to recoup much of the ₤72 million that they paid Athletic Bilbao to make him the most expensive goalkeeper ever. However, this does present them with the opportunity to get his wages off their books, and solves the problem of what to do with him.
