Arsenal striker Eddie Nkteiah is being linked with a move to French ckub Marseille.
Contact between the Ligue 1 club and Nketiah’s representatives have been made, and he is reported to be open to the move, although discussions are still at an early stage and no fee has been mentioned.
Nketiah six goals in the last campaign, and his early season form was good enough to get him into the England squad.
However, he became an increasingly peripheral figure after Christmas, and was mainly restricted ot appearances off rhe bench.
Despite having fallen down the pecking order, he was one of the players included in the pre-season training camp which Mikel Arteta conducted last week in Marbella.
It may transpire, though, that only served to get him fit for his next employer, with Marseille expecting competition from several English clubs, including Crystal Palace.
