Arsenal ready to sell Jesus

Arsenal are prepared to listen to offers for Gabriel Jesus this summer.

Signed for ₤45 million from Manchester City in the summer of 2022, the Brazilian was meant to be the end of the Gunners’ striking problems.

However, injury has disrupted his progress at the Emirates, and, this season, he has scored just eight goals in 33 appearances.

Although he is under contract until 2027, his place under Mikel Arteta is no longer guaranteed, and most recently it is Kai Havertz, who was initially bought as a midfielder, who is leading the line.

And, with the club widely accepted to buy another forward in the forthcoming transfer window, the 27 year old could find himself surplus to requirements at the Emirates.

Jesus himself has admitted that he has been playing with pain for some time and that he may need knee surgery to fix a long standing issue.
