Clubs are lining-up to sign Chelsea full-back Ian Maatsen.

The 21 year old rejected the chance to join Burnley, with whom he enjoyed a successful loan period last season on a permanent basis in the summer, because he was prepared to fight for his place at Stamford Bridge.

However, he has become increasingly frustrated by his lack of first-team opportunities under Mauricio Pochettino.

The club did trigger an automatic 12 month extension in his contract, but having failed to get him to agree to a new deal have now decided to sell him, as the look to raise money to help them fund new acquisitions, with a new striker among their priorities.

And it looks like they, and Maatsen, will not lack for options. Manchester City and West Ham have both expressed interest from the Premier League, whilst, across Europe, Borussia Dortmund, Napoli and Roma are all monitoring developments.
