Ramsdale set for showdown talks

Aaron Ramsdale is set for showdown talks about his future at Arsenal.

The England international began the season as the club number one, having been mamed in the PFA Team of the Year for last season.

However, he has found himself displaced by the arrival of David Raya, who arrived initially on loan from Brentford, although all indications are that the Gunners intend to make that move permanent in January.

Ramsdale remains hugely popular with the club’s fanbase, but it seems that his manager Mikel Arteta is determined to move on, believing that Raya is more conducive to the controlled approach that he wants the Gunners to adopt in games now.

And with Ramsdale concerned for his England future if he is not playing games regularly, he wants clarification on his future sooner rather than later.

However, if he wants to leave the club he may have to bide his time until the end of the season, because the Gunners are unlikely to let him go before they have found a quality replacement first.
