Lyon ready to make compromises to sign Lacazette

Jean-Michel Aulas, the president of Lyon, has revealed that his club are willing to make compromises to sign Alexander Lacazette again this summer.

Lacazette moved to the Gunners from the Ligue 1 side in 2017 for a fee of around £50 million, a record for Lyon at that time.

Although Aulas has not specified what compromises will have to be made, it is presumed he is referring to salary and bonuses.

The 30-year old is out of contract at the Emirates at the end of June and will be available on a free transfer.

There has been talk that he might be offered a contract extension at the Emirates, but, in truth, he would only be a back-up player next season at best. Although highly prized for his leadership skills and influence among the younger players in the dressing room, his goalscoring form seems to have deserted him completely.

He has only scored four Premier League goals all season, two of them penalties, and has lost his place as an automatic starter to Eddie Nketiah recently.
