Solskjaer rules out Agüero move

Sergio Agüero will not be joining Manchester United when he leaves neighbours City on a free transfer at the end of the season.

A host of clubs have already been linked with the 32-year old, including Barcelona, Chelsea, and Arsenal, and amidst speculation that the forward himself would prefer to remain in England, United have almost inevitably become part of the conversation.

However, now manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has emphatically ruled it out, saying that he would question the loyalty of anybody who crossed the city. He also believes that is not something that would interest Agüero either.

There have been examples of players featuring for both clubs, with the last high profile example being Carlos Tevez in 2009 who moved to the Etihad from Old Trafford.

Those with longer memories may recall the case of United legend Denis Law, who joined City in the 1973-74 season and scored the goal in the derby that effectively relegated his old club.
