Tottenham defender Juan Foyth is being linked with a surprise summer move to Barcelona.
Foyth was signed by fellow Argentine Mauricio Pochettino from Estudiantes in 2017 for £8 million but, despite showing early promise, he has never really established himself in North London, and has slipped down the pecking order, especially since Jose Mourinho took over as boss.
Now the club are prepared to move him on, whilst the player himself wants regular first team football.
Barcelona are ready to try and reduce their wage bill by selling one of their centre back pairing of Samuel Umtiiti or Jean-Clair Todibo, and regard Foyth as a potentially cheap replacement The fact that he can play either as a central defender or right back also makes him an attractive proposition for the Catalans.
