Ziyech set for permanent move

Hakim Ziyech’s loan move from Chelsea to Turkish side Galatasaray will become permanent this summer.

The 31 year old joined the Istanbul club on loan at the start of this season and he has gone on to enjoy a successful campaign with them, scoring eight goals and providing four assists in 21 appearances. He has played a big part in what is shaping up to be a title winning season for Galatasaray – with just three games to go, they are six points clear at the top ahead of their great rivals Fenerbahçe.

And now they will trigger their option to buy for the Moroccan international.

Chelsea’s first signing under Frank Lampard, Ziyech won the Champions League and the UEFA Super Cup and the Club World Cup during his time at Stamford Bridge, but fell out of favour under Graham Potter, and was subsequently deemed surplus to requirements in West London.
