Ipswich want to sign Nketiah

Newly promoted Ipswich Town want to sign Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah this summer.

The Gunners are willing to listen to offers for the 24-year old, who had a strong start to the season and forced his way into the England squad, only to become increasingly peripheral.

And with Arsenal looking to bring in a new striker during the next transfer window, his first team opportunities next season may become even more limited.

Nketiah, himself, is inclined to leave as he seeks regular football, and his potential availability has alerted a number of clubs, with Crystal Palace, long-term admirers, closely monitoring his situation.

However, Ipswich are ready to throw their hat into the ring as they look to build a squad capable of surviving in the Premier League, the first priority for any promoted club.

He has scored five Premier League goals this season, but three of those came in one match against Sheffield United.
