Chelsea linked with another Ukrainian

Chelsea are being linked with a summer move for midfielder Georgiy Sudakov, who currently plays for Shakhtar Donestsk, the same club they bought Mykhailo Mudryk from 15 months ago.

The 21-year-old has been dubbed the latest big thing to be produced by Ukrainian football, and he will definitely leave Shakhtar this summer, although his final destination remains in doubt.

Arsenal, Liverpool and both Manchester clubs have also been linked with Sudakov.

However, after Shakhtar CEO Sergei Palkin, who was heavily involved in the Mudryk move, was spotted at Stamford Bridge during their home thrashing of Everton, it must be presumed that Chelsea is one of the clubs in the conversation.

A valuation of ₤60 million has been placed on the midfielder’s head, which is not far short of the initial price paid for Mudryk, although add-ons mean the final figure paid for him may be much higher.
