Fulham plotting move for Arsenal midfielder

Fulham are plotting a summer move for Arsenal midfielder Charlie Patino.

A graduate of the Hale End academy, Patino was tipped at an early age as a future Gunners star.

Yet, despite scoring on his senior debut in the League Cup, it has not happened for him at the Emirates, and, instead, he has spent the past two seasons on loan in the Championship, first with Blackpool and, this campaign, with Swansea City.

Despite that, in December 2022, he was persuaded to sign a new contract at the Emirates, with the club protecting their investment in him, with a deal that runs until 2025.

However, Patino wants to play regular football at the highest level, and there is a growing acceptance that may need to be away from the Emirates.

In the past the likes of Juventus have been interested in him, but he may be destined to remain in London, with Fulham now emerging as serious contenders for his services.
