Leicester join race for Nketiah

Leicester City are the latest club to be linked with a summer move for Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah.

The 24 year old has become an increasingly marginalised figure at the Emirates, and his substitute appearances against Luton Town last week and Brighton at the weekend were an indication of how far down the pecking order he has fallen under Mikel Arteta.

It seems now that he will be sold this summer, and clubs are already jockeying in position to sign him, with a fee of around ₤35 million likely to attract bidders, with Crystal Palace and Brentford among those interested.

However, should they be promoted back to the Premier League from the Championship, then Leicester City may be ready to rival them for his services, with suggestions that they have identified him as the long-term successor to Jamie Vardy.

He is now 37, and his game time and training regime increasingly have to be closely managed.
