Chelsea initiate plans for Gallagher replacement

Chelsea have begun making plans for life without Conor Gallagher, with the growing likelihood that the midfielder will be sold this summer, in order to help the club meet their FFP obligations.

And it appears that they have identified a replacement in the shape of Spanish midfielder Dani Olmo, who currently plays in the Bundesliga for RB Leipzig.

His form this season has seen him attract widespread interest, with 11 goal contributions in 19 games for them. And he has also translated. that form to the national stage, netting for Spoain in their recent friendly draw with Brazil.

There are suggestions that Chelsea’s interest in Olmo has got to the stage where they have made enquiries with the German club as to how much money they want for the attacking midfielder, whom they signed from Dinamo Zagreb four years ago.
