Boehly makes Saudi transfer visit

Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly has recently travelled to Saudi Arabia where he has held meetings to discuss transfer options for the summer.

Among those he met was the director of the Saudi Pro League, Michael Emanolo – who was previously both an assistant and Technical Director at the West London club.

Boehly is hoping to find clubs willing to take the likes of Romelu Lukaka and Kepa Arraizabalaga as Chelsea look to raise a substantial amount of money before the end of June.

It has been estimated by experts that up to ₤90 million in profit may need to be booked by the end of June if the club is to avoid falling foul of the Premier League’s profitability and sustainability rules.

Those same rules may mean that the club has to listen to offers for the likes of Conor Gallagher with Tottenham heavily linked with a move for the England midfielder.
