Argentine World Cup winner Enzo Fernandez is already considering leaving Chelsea, despite having only been at the club a little more than a year.
When he was signed in January 2023 he was the most expensive player ever in a transfer involving a British club, with the fee paid to Portuguese side Benfica an initial ₤105 million.
He is under contract at Stamford Bridge until 2032 – the club having already triggered a one year extension option – but he has struggled to settle in London, and has only recently begun to learn English.
Now it is reported he has asked his representatives to put out feelers to discover if there is any interest in signing him among other clubs, with Barcelona mooted as one possibility.
The 23 year old did score as Chelsea put their recent problems in the Premier League behind them by winning their fourth round FA Cup replay at Aston Villa earlier this week.
