Chelsea are considering entering the race for Southampton right-back Kyle Walker-_peters, who is also attracting the interest of West Ham and Arsenal.
That is despite the fact that the 26 year old is a former Tottenham player, making 12 appearances for them, before joining the Saints, initially on loan.
That move was then made permanent, and he was part of the team that was relegated to the Championship last season.
He has been capped twice by England, playing in friendlies against Switzerland and the Ivory Coast in 2022.
He is under contract until 2025, but, with him showing no interest in signing a new deal, the South Coast club are considering cashing in on him.
For their part, Chelsea are considering strengthening in the right-back area, with concerns once again about the ability of Reece James to stay fit for any length of time. He is expected to be out until March with his latest injury.
