Chelsea have reportedly placed seven players on their transfer list as they look to raise money to fund even more acquisitions.
They include three academy products – Armando Broja, Trevoh Chalobah and Ian Maatsen – but it is the identity of the other four that might cause eyebrows to be raised.
Axel Dasai was only signed from Monaco four months ago, for a fee worth up to ₤38 million, and, he has started the majority of games under Mauricio Pochettino. However, with the Argentine having a wealth of options in that position when fit, he is already being deemed surplus to requirements.
And he could be followed out of the door by three more of the Todd Boehly era signings, in the form of Marc Cucurella, Malo Gusto, and Noni Madueke.
With the club currently 12th in the Premier League, something has to change at Stamford Bridge, although whether more upheaval at the club is the answer must be open to serious doubt.
