Turkish club Galatasaray want to sign Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey in January.
The Ghanian international’s injury record is beginning to cause concern at the Emirates, and there is a feeling that this could be his last season in North London.
He is currently ruled out of action with a thigh strain that he picked up on international duty.
It is a frustration to the Premier League club that a player who was barely ever injured during his time with Atlético Madrid has become such a regular in the treatment room at London Colney.
Already a number of options to replace him have been scouted, and that has become the main focus of the Gunners’ transfer business in January.
Now Galatasaray may be ready to take Partey off the Gunners’ hands, knowing full well the fitness issues surrounding him. Whether they could afford an acceptable fee for a player that still has 18 months left on his current contract remains a stumbling block to any deal.
