Mauricio Pochettino wants Chelsea to recruit 18 year old Antonio Nusa in the January window.
Nusa is currently playing his club football in Belgium with Club Brugge. He is already a full international for his country, Norway, although originally of Norwegian descent.
He joined the Belgian side two years ago from Norwegian club Stabæk, and has gone on to play for them more than 50 times already, scoring five goals.
He has represented Norway at every age level from under 16 upwards, and marked his debut for the senior side by scoring against Jordan in a friendly.
Regarded as one for the future, he represents an alternative to Chelsea’s main January transfer target, Victor Osimhen, but one who will come at a considerably lower cost.
Napoli are valuing Osimhen at ₤100 million, and it is unlikely that the Serie A side will be prepared to allow him to leave midway through the season.
Andy is an exiled English football fan living in Cyprus. He loves all sports but football is his abiding passion, and he still has dreams every now and then about scoring the winning goal in a Wembley Cup Final, even though his playing days are long gone. He follows most major leagues, across Europe at least, and has a favoured team in each. When he’s not watching, listening, reading or downloading podcasts about football, he spend his time worrying about his beloved Arsenal.
