Arsenal are now being linked with Borussia Dortmund winger Jamie Bynoe-Gittens.
A member of the team that won the European under-19 Championship, Bynoe-Gittings is the latest Englishman to ply his trade for the Bundesliga club, following in the footsteps of Jadon Sancho and Jude Bellingham.
However, although he has featured for them in domestic competitions and the Champions League, he has yet to make the same impact at Dortmund as his predecessors, although, at 19, time is very much on his side.
Like Sancho he was on the books of Manchester City as a youngster before his move to Germany.
His price tag, though, could be a deterrent for the Gunners. Dortmund are thought to want at least ₤35 million for a player who has very little experience at senior level.
And, what has happened to Sancho since moving to Manchester United couls also be further grounds for caution.
