Thiago Silva has hinted that he is set to return to Brazil next season.
At 39 years old, the Chelsea defender is now the oldest active player in the Premier league, but he is out of contract at Stamford Bridge in June, and he is already thinking about the future.
But, if he is not offered a new deal, rather than hang up his boots, he may instead go back to the club where it all started for him, Fluminense.
He was part of their academy system as a boy, and went onto become a first team pro for them between 2006 and 2009. He won the Copa de Brasil Cup with them in 2007.
Despite his advancing years, he will be a big miss for Chelsea. He has played every Premier League minute for them under Mauricio Pochettino this season, and many regard him as still the best defender at the club.
