West Ham are tracking the situation of Emile Smith-Rowe at Arsenal.
The 23 year old is reported to be weighing up his options after struggling for first-team minutes under Mikel Arteta.
Instead he has been limited to a handful of appearances off the bench.
He was the subject of late interest from Chelsea in the summer transfer window, but, instead, they decided to sign Carlton Palmer instead.
Aston Villa have also bid for him several times in the past, and may be prepared to reignite their interest.
A fan favourite, academy graduate Smith-Rowe is under contract at the Emirates until 2026, so theret is no pressing imperative for the club to sell him.
At the same time, though, the England international will be concerned that he is treading water at the Emirates, and will want to get his career, which seemed so promising, until injuries took their toll, back on track.
