Chelsea are monitoring the situation of striker Victor Osimhen.
The Nigerian had helped the Italian club win the Serie A title last season, and they were in talks ot give him a lucrative new deals.
Things, though, have subsequently soured, and he is even considering the club after they mocked him on their in-house social media channels for missing a penalty recently.
And waking in the wings are Saudi club Al-Hilal, who are ready to offer him a five year deal worth up to £40 million a year. They have also indicated that they are prepared to meet Napoli’s valuation of the player, which is £173 million.
The fact, though, that Osimhen, at jut 24 years old, would prefer to stay in Europe, may give Chelsea an opportunity, and they have shown they are prepared to pay big money for players.
And he is almost guaranteed to supply the goals that the team so desperately needs at present.
