Arsenal have been linked with a move for another Manchester City player.
Last summer they acquired both Gabriel Jesus and Oleksander Zinchenko from the champions, and now Kalvin Phillips could also be heading to the Emirates.
Whilst Jorginho remains happy in North London, his first-team opportunities are currently limited, whilst the injury record of Thomas Partey is becoming an increasing cause of concern.
Phillips, meanwhile has been given few opportunities at the Etihad since joining City from Leeds United in the summer of 2022, and may need to move on if he wants to get the first-team football that he probably needs to remain part of Gareth Southgate’s plans for England and the Euros next year.
It would also give him a chance to partner England team-mate Declan Rice.
One of the biggest obstacles to such a deal may be convincing City to sell the player to one of their main title rivals.
