Although the transfer window has now closed, Chelsea’s thoughts have already begun turning to January, when they will be free to buy players again.
And, despite having spent nearly £1 billion on talent since Todd Boehly and his Clearwater consortium assumed control of the club, they are likely to open their chequebook again in thje New Year.
And, one player already exciting their interest is Manchester United Jadon Sancho, who has admitted that he is a Chelsea fan. He was born in London, in Camberwell.
Sancho appears to have fallen out with his manager Erik ten Hag, who omitted him from the squad that travelled to London to play Arsenal, claiming that he had not shown the right attitude in training. This is an accusation that Sancho rejects, claiming that he has been made a scapegoat for other problems at the club.
In any case, he has rarely shown the same form for United, as he did at Borussia Dortmund, where he acquired the reputation of being one of the best young players in Europe.
Andy is an exiled English football fan living in Cyprus. He loves all sports but football is his abiding passion, and he still has dreams every now and then about scoring the winning goal in a Wembley Cup Final, even though his playing days are long gone. He follows most major leagues, across Europe at least, and has a favoured team in each. When he’s not watching, listening, reading or downloading podcasts about football, he spend his time worrying about his beloved Arsenal.
