Despite all the comings and goings at Chelsea, one player who is staying put at Stamford Bridge for the time being is defender Trevoh Chalobah.
He had hoped to secure a deadline day move to Bayern Munich, with an initial loan deal proposed, but that collapsed with the two sides unable to agree a suitable fee.
And that will come as a disappointment to the 24 year old, who was hoping for a reunion with Thomas Tuchel, the man who had handed him a first-team debut at the West London club.
Despite making 33 appearances for Chelsea in all competitions last season, Chalobah has spent most of the summer being linked with a move elsewhere.
Now he faces an uncertain few months, and he will be hoping that he can convince Mauricio Pochettino that he can play a part in the matches to come, although with no European football ths season, opportunities will be more limited than usual.
