Arsenal have revived their interest in signing Brentford goalkeeper David Raya.
He has one year left on his current contract with Brentford, and has indicated that he is not interested in signing a deal. However, the West London club want £40 million for him, a sum which has already seen Spurs back away from a move for him.
Bayern Munich have also identified him as a potential successor to Manuel Neuer.
The news will come as a surprise to Arsenal fans, with Aaron Ramsdale, the number one at the club, and having just signed a new long-term deal.
It would also certainly mean that Matt Turner, the current USA international will need to move on to make way for Raya, with suggestions that Nottingham Forest may have an interest in buying him.
And, given how much Arsenal have already spent in the transfer window thus summer, there would have to be a number of departures first if the money for Raya is to be found.
