Arsenal are on the verge of making their fourth summer signing.
This time the player in question is 23 year old Brazilian midfielder Bitello, who currently plays for Gremio.
The Gunners have had the player on their radar for some time, and have now decided to make their move.
Gremio wanted £8.5 million for the player, but the Gunners appear to have negotiated this down to £6.9 million.
Like all Arteta signings, Bitello is versatile, and can play either as a number ten, or as a box to box midfielder.
He joined the Serie A champions in 2021, and has since gone on to make 50 appearances for them, scoring 11 times.
Brazil has proved to be a useful source of young talent for Arsenal in recent years, the primary example being Gabriel Martinelli, who has since gone on to play for his country and become an established first-team player.
